This is a part-time role — perfect for a retiree, a student, or anyone looking for a few meaningful hours a week.

Schedule & Pay

In this vital role, you will design, coordinate, and implement engaging activities tailored to residents' interests and needs, with a focus on enhancing quality of life through social, recreational, and therapeutic programs. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help create a vibrant environment where seniors feel valued, supported, and inspired to participate actively in their community. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and execute a diverse range of resident-centered activities, including social events, recreational therapies, memory care programs, and special celebrations. Collaborate with staff members to develop engaging programs that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity tailored to residents' abilities and interests. uild strong rapport with residents by understanding their preferences, histories, and individual needs to foster a welcoming environment. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed during events to ensure comfort and participation. Coordinate resident events by managing schedules, securing supplies, recruiting volunteers or staff support, and ensuring smooth execution. Maintain detailed records of participation, resident feedback, and program outcomes to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement. Communicate effectively with residents' families and team members regarding activity schedules, participation levels, and special needs or concerns. Qualifications Proven experience in event planning within senior living facilities or assisted living environments. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory support programs, and geriatric health issues. Strong background in recreational therapy or senior care programs with an emphasis on engaging individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments. Familiarity with long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living communities; experience working with geriatric patients preferred. Excellent communication skills for building resident rapport and coordinating with families and team members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, documentation, and communication purposes. Ability to lead activities independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
