Summary As a Recreation Therapist at ReNu Life, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through therapeutic recreational activities. This position is essential in helping individuals regain skills and confidence while promoting their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning and implementing recreational therapy interventions in group or 1:1 settings. Knowledge in developing and implementing active treatment modalities (examples include leisure education, exercise, yoga, aquatics, social skills, problem solving, coping skills, etc.). Ability to accurately administer various assessment tools, develop treatment plans, and evaluate patient progress. Ability to perform accurate and thorough record-keeping. Ability to instruct and guide student interns, subordinate staff members, and other professionals with recreation therapy methods and techniques. Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure continuity of care for each client Provide support and education to clients, staff, and families regarding therapeutic goals and progress. Requirements Prefer work experience in Recreation Therapy. Prefer strong interest, background, and experience in exercise, Aquatics, and physical activity. Licensed to practice recreational therapy by the North Carolina Board of Recreational Therapy Licensure (LRT) Nationally certified to practice by National Council for Therapeutic Recreation (CTRS) Physical strength is required for leading 1:1 exercises and various exercise groups.
