Full Job Description Activity Director Job Summary:

Grand Villa Assisted Living, a premier senior living community in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Activity Director to lead our recreational therapy program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging activities that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being among our residents. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that meets the diverse needs and interests of our residents, including social, recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans that promote resident engagement and satisfaction Plan and execute events, such as parties, outings, and celebrations, to create a sense of community and social connection among residents Recruit and train volunteers, staff, and other community members to assist with activities and events Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make adjustments as needed to ensure resident satisfaction and engagement Maintain accurate records and reports of activity participation, resident feedback, and other relevant data

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 0 years of experience in a senior living or recreational therapy setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances Familiarity with regulations and standards related to senior living and recreational therapy
