Job Description
Overview Echo Hills assisted living is looking for a fulltime Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan and organize fun and purposeful activities for our residents. This person should be an effective communicator who is able to stimulate and motivate others. This person should be outgoing and friendly, energetic, love a fast pace, enjoy connecting with people, and is lively, warm company. Attention to details and ability to handle them in a quick and accurate manner is important for this position to carry out event planning. If this sounds like you, apply today! Duties Develop and implement diverse recreational programs tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and care needs, including memory care and dementia-specific activities Coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, and social gatherings to promote community engagement Build strong rapport with residents through personalized interactions and attentive communication Manage program schedules efficiently, balancing individual preferences with group activities to maximize participation Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to integrate therapeutic activities that support cognitive health and physical well-being Lead team members in delivering engaging recreational therapy sessions while fostering a positive environment focused on resident happiness and safety Experience Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care settings, particularly within senior or memory care environments Strong background in event planning, program development, and recreational therapy tailored for geriatric populations Demonstrated ability to work effectively with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing dementia or Alzheimer's disease Familiarity with resident rapport building techniques and communication skills essential for working with geriatric patients Prior leadership experience managing teams or coordinating resident activities in senior living facilities or community care settings Knowledge of aging issues counseling, dementia care strategies, and best practices in geriatrics to support holistic resident well-being Embark on a rewarding career where your enthusiasm for enriching lives transforms everyday moments into memorable experiences!
