At The Bellflower at Whispering Ridge , an Agemark Senior Living community, we're looking for a Life Enrichment Director to bring energy, imagination, and meaningful experiences to our residents. From themed parties and creative programs to outings, celebrations, music, games, and one-on-one connections, you'll have the opportunity to make every day a little more memorable. This isn't about filling a calendar. It's about creating experiences residents genuinely look forward to. What You'll Get to Do Bring Your Ideas to
Life:
Create a fun and engaging calendar of activities, events, outings, and experiences for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. Get to
Know Your Residents:
Learn their interests, hobbies, stories, and favorite things so activities feel personal and meaningful. Plan the
Fun:
Coordinate themed events, celebrations, entertainment, outings, social gatherings, and special programs.
Lead & Inspire:
Guide the Life Enrichment team and encourage employees and volunteers throughout the community to get involved.
Keep Things Fresh:
Look for new ideas and creative ways to keep residents active, connected, and engaged. Share the
Excitement:
Help showcase community life through newsletters, social media, photos, and activity updates.
Get Out & Explore:
Coordinate resident outings and transportation and help create experiences beyond the community. Work Across the
Community:
Partner with other departments, including Sales & Marketing, to make events and programs successful.
Own Your Program:
Manage the Life Enrichment budget, gather resident feedback, and continually look for ways to make the program even better. You Could Be a Great Fit If You're... Creative, outgoing, energetic, and full of ideas. Someone who genuinely enjoys bringing people together. Comfortable leading a team and taking ownership of a program. Organized enough to turn great ideas into great experiences. Passionate about working with seniors and creating meaningful moments. Comfortable using Microsoft Office, activity management platforms, and social media. Familiar with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias, or interested in learning more. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Recreational Therapy, Education, or a related field is preferred. For communities with fewer than 50 residents: 6 months of activity experience or enrollment in a Life Enrichment training program. For communities with more than 50 residents: 1 year of activity experience, including evaluation and supervision responsibilities. Valid driver's license with a good driving record and ability to drive a passenger van. Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and Manager on Duty rotation.
