Responsibilities Develop and execute diverse activity programs that cater to residents' interests, abilities, and care needs, including memory care and dementia-specific activities. Coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, fitness classes, arts and crafts sessions, and social gatherings to encourage community engagement. Build strong rapport with residents through personalized interaction, active listening, and compassionate communication. Collaborate with staff members across departments to ensure activities align with individual care plans and health requirements. Manage scheduling of activities efficiently while maintaining flexibility to adapt to residents' changing needs. Maintain detailed records of participation, resident feedback, and activity outcomes for continuous improvement. Lead team efforts in promoting resident involvement and fostering a lively, inclusive atmosphere within the community. Experience Proven experience in event planning within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or senior care environments. Extensive knowledge of geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer's support strategies, and memory care programming. Prior work with seniors or individuals with disabilities demonstrating patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with recreational therapy principles and program development tailored for long-term care settings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, scheduling, and communication purposes. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while building strong resident rapport. Experience working with geriatric patients in home & community care or senior living facilities is highly desirable. $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
