Activity Director Irvington Adult Daycare Irvington, NJ Job Details Part-time | Full-time $17 - $19 an hour 2 hours ago Full Job Description Irvington Adult Center is looking for a Certified Activity Director full time / part time position 1. Be certified or eligible for certification as a certified therapeutic recreation specialist (CTRS) by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation 2. Have a baccalaureate degree from a college or university approved by a State department of education with a major in recreation, creative arts therapy, music therapy, therapeutic recreation, art, art education, psychology, sociology, occupational therapy, or other health and/or human services related degree such as gerontology or early education; 3. Have a high school diploma and at least three years of full-time, or full-time equivalent, experience in activities in a licensed health care facility and have successfully completed an activities education program approved by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services after a review of the specific curriculum, consisting of 90 hours of training

•The activities director shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: 1. Participating in developing and implementing written objectives, policies, a procedure manual, and an organizational plan; 2. Participating in the facility's quality improvement program; 3. Ensuring that services are provided and are coordinated with other services to provide a continuum of care for the participant; 4. Participating in staff education activities and providing consultation to facility personnel; 5. Developing and posting a current monthly activities schedule where it can be read by participants, staff, and visitors, and maintaining a record of such schedules for one year; 6. Participate in all participant conferences; 7. Participate in professional organizations and seminars; and 8. Document assessments, treatment plans, evaluations and clinical notes
