Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for residents in our assisted living and long-term care facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of dementia care, social work principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. Duties Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that meets the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents. Plan events and activities that promote social interaction and community involvement. Collaborate with staff to ensure activities are accessible to all residents, including those with disabilities. Provide support and assistance to residents during activities, ensuring their safety and comfort. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback on activities. Foster relationships with residents to understand their interests and preferences for future programming. Coordinate with external organizations for community events that benefit residents. Train and supervise volunteers or staff assisting in activity implementation. Qualifications Experience in dementia care or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Background in event planning or social work is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members. Knowledge of caregiving practices within assisted living or long-term care settings. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Passion for enhancing the lives of seniors through meaningful activities and engagement. A degree or certification in a relevant field Gujarati/ Hindi preferred but not required.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
