  • 85k Legacy Healing North Jersey is searching for the most qualified, empathic, compassionate, energetic and passionate addiction professionals in the world to provide comprehensive biopsychosocial therapy.
We are currently beginning the talent search and vetting process. The Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible for coordinating and providing case management and biopsychosocial assessment services to clients as well as group, individual and family counseling for clients within the facility. They demonstrate expertise in case management, development of client resources, vocational counseling, discharge/continuing care planning, and placement of clients. They work with the treatment team to plan and coordinate the client's movement through the continuum of care.
Responsibilities:
Conducting chemical dependency evaluations, as well as chemical abuse/dependency aspects of treatment plans and treatment plan updates Assisting clients in developing measurable chemical dependency related discharge goals and objectives Providing liaison services between client and family Updating treatment plans regularly
Qualifications:
Minimum of Master's Degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or related field
REQUIRED
Three years (3) of working experience as a Counselor preferred Chemical Dependency experience strongly preferred Most possess one of the following
Licenses:
Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) We are a DFWP and EOE.
