Benefits & Perks Daily Pay - get paid when you need it Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance for eligible full-time employees Paid Time Off (PTO) Career advancement opportunities within a growing healthcare organization Supportive leadership team and collaborative work environment Opportunity to make a lasting impact on residents and their families Activities Director Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or certification program completion required Must possess an active ADC (Activity Director Certified), CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner), or CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) credential Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Knowledge of state and federal regulations, resident rights, and quality assurance programs Experience developing and implementing person-centered programming Computer proficiency and documentation experience required Activities Director Responsibilities As the Activities Director , you will be responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing engaging recreational programs that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being.
Responsibilities include:
Supervising Recreation Department personnel Developing, implementing, and evaluating resident-centered activity programs Creating monthly activity calendars and resident newsletters Designing specialized programs for residents with dementia and other cognitive impairments Maintaining compliance with documentation requirements and care planning processes Participating in interdisciplinary care team meetings Monitoring departmental quality assurance initiatives Managing department budgets and resources effectively Planning and coordinating resident, family, and community events Creating and implementing facility-wide employee engagement and event calendars Ensuring all programming aligns with resident interests, abilities, and goals Join Our Team If you're a dedicated Activities Director with an ADC, CDP, or CTRS certification looking to make a meaningful impact in a skilled nursing and long-term care environment, Complete Care at West Caldwell offers the opportunity to build a rewarding career while enriching the lives of others.
