Located at 22 Schuyler Street, Lake George
JOB SUMMARY
The Teen Center Director leads and oversees all aspects of the Lake George Teen Center, including programming, staff supervision, advocacy, and day-to-day operations. This position is responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for teens while ensuring the program effectively meets their needs. The Director supervises the Site Assistant, advocates for the Teen Center within the community, and reports directly to the Coordinating Committee.

To provide Lake George Jr./Sr. High teens with a safe, supportive after-school environment that cultivates a sense of community and promotes physical, emotional, and social well being.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of the Director of the Teen Center include, but are not limited to:
PROGRAMMING RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide social-emotional guidance, mentorship, and support to teens.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate programs, activities, and events.
  • ensure programming remains relevant, inclusive, and responsive.
  • Plan, purchase, and provide snacks and supplies for each session.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Lake George High School, families, community organizations, and other partners to promote awareness and access to the Teen Center.
  • Advocate for the Teen Center and its participants within the school and broader community.
  • Maintain the Teen Center website and other communication platforms to keep teens and families informed about programs, events, and resources.
  • Coordinate with the Site Assistant to ensure programs and activities run smoothly and effectively.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain record of programming, budgeting and provide an annual report as requested by the village offices.
  • Monthly record keeping of attendance and events.
  • Facilitate coordinating team meetings.
Pay:
$9,000.00
  • $11,500.
00 per year
