Description Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a
Full-Time Activity Aide Days:
8a - 4pQualifications:
High School Graduate and a concerned interest in the field OR A concerned interest in the fieldDuties & Responsibilities:
1. Under the supervision of the Director of Activities, conducts activity programs to meet the needs of the patients/residents. 2. Ascertain from appropriate professional staff, those patients/resident who are available and able to be in the activities programs. 3. Knowledge of proper use of equipment and storage of same. 4. Assists in the purchasing of supplies when necessary. 5. Attends and participates in facility's staff education. 6. Assists in the clerical functioning of the activities department, including letters, filing, and other clerical work of the department as needed. 7. Assists in transporting patients/residents where and when necessary, to and from activity programs. 8. Works with volunteers on activity programs. 9.Record-keeping:
a. Keeps records of patients'/residents' participation and in what activity. b. Keeps other records as necessary. c. Appropriate resident charting. 10. Informs Director of Activities of any problems or concerns encountered. 11. Assistance with any other work that goes on in the activities department to ensure the highest level of resident care. 12. Contact with residents, staff, family members, volunteers and community groups required. 13. Appropriate dress attire, including maroon jacket required. No jeans or shorts permitted. Fingernails must be kept short and neat. 14. Position hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm w/EOW and (1) major holiday covered. All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the Director of Activities or Asst Director of Activities in accordance with facility policy. 15. Follows all facility safety policies and procedures: A. Maintains a clean, safe environment for residents and nursing staff. B. Adheres to fire plan, disaster plan and other safety plans established. C. Performs procedures in a safe and therapeutic manner. D. Utilizes protective equipment; ie: safety goggles, as indicated per facility policy and protocol and Safety Data Sheets.Benefits
