As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our residents, while promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and lead a variety of activities, programs, and events for our residents, including arts and crafts, music, exercise classes, and social gatherings Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement program schedules and goals Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities, fostering a sense of community and social connection Assist with setup, preparation, and cleanup of activities and events Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations and vendors to support activity programming Maintain accurate records of activity participation, attendance, and resident feedback

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, or related field preferred Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with residents and staff
