This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating person-centered programs that promote purpose, dignity, independence, and quality of life. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and leading activities in both Assisted Living and Memory Care settings and possess a strong understanding of dementia care best practices. Experience with the Montessori Method for Dementia Care is strongly preferred. This individual must be able to work independently, think creatively, and adapt programming to meet the diverse needs of older adults. Education & Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an Activities, Life Enrichment, Recreation, or Engagement role within Assisted Living and/or Memory Care required Experience working directly with residents living with dementia required Knowledge of and experience implementing the Montessori Method for Dementia Care APC (Activity Professional Certified) or CAP (Certified Activities Professional) certification preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Strong understanding of person-centered care and dementia engagement techniques Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer proficiency and documentation skills Essential Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate, and facilitate daily life enrichment programming for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. Create engaging group and one-on-one experiences that support residents' physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual well-being. Utilize dementia-specific programming techniques and Montessori-based approaches when working with Memory Care residents. Encourage resident participation while respecting resident choice and individual abilities. Conduct individual visits with residents who are unable or unwilling to participate in group programming. Assist with special events, family engagement opportunities, community partnerships, entertainment, and volunteer activities. Monitor program effectiveness and adapt activities based on resident needs and feedback. Maintain activity documentation, attendance records, and required reports. Assist with decorating and preparing community spaces for holidays, programs, and special events. Ensure activity supplies and equipment are organized, maintained, and readily available.
