Duties Develop and implement diverse activity programs that cater to residents' interests, abilities, and health conditions, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. Coordinate resident events such as social gatherings, outings, arts and crafts sessions, music therapy, and recreational activities. Build strong rapport with residents through personalized engagement and attentive communication to enhance their quality of life. Collaborate with team members to ensure activities align with individual care plans and safety protocols. Manage schedules for daily activities, ensuring timely setup and smooth execution of events. Maintain detailed records of resident participation, feedback, and activity outcomes to inform ongoing program improvements. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for planning documentation, resident communication logs, and activity reports. Experience Proven experience in event planning within assisted living facilities or nursing homes. Prior work in senior care environments with a focus on geriatrics or memory care is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging programs for residents with disabilities or cognitive impairments. Familiarity with recreational therapy techniques and aging issues counseling enhances effectiveness in this role. Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, families, staff, and community partners. Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with dementia is essential for creating meaningful activities. Knowledge of long-term care operations, home & community care services, and resident rapport building strategies is advantageous.
