We're a nationally recognized leader in person-centered care, and we're recruiting for a Life Enrichment Director at our community in Westlake, Ohio. Design and implement resident programs and activities. Develop and update community calendar. Develop and administer budget; monitor and control expenses. Identify resources and purchase supplies; maintain and restock inventory. Conduct activity assessments and resident interviews. Oversee departmental schedule for completion of these tasks Plan and meet with residents and their families to promote resident participation, enjoyment, and enrichment. Assure constant and effective resident communications; lead various programs. Oversee, organize and schedule volunteers: recruit, orient and assign tasks. Provide transportation for field trips. Arrange individual transportation when needed. Coordinate/organize events including employee and resident/family parties. Maintain professional relationships with members of the community at large. Communicates and interacts professionally and effectively with residents and coworkers throughout the community ensuring a cooperative environment while maintaining self-control. Communicates and interacts professionally and respectfully with family members in attending to and meeting their requests. Ensure a safe environment for residents and utilize tools and equipment in a safe manner. Adhere to mission statement and all company policies including, but not limited to job description, HIPAA, Residents' Rights, annual TB test, and education assignment completion. Adapt to changes in responsibilities in a positive manner, be receptive to new ways of completing tasks, and flexible in carrying out assignments.
