FINE ARTS COORDINATOR

POSITION PURPOSE
The Fine Arts Coordinator provides vision, leadership, coordination, and support for the district's K-12 fine arts programs to ensure exceptional learning experiences and opportunities for students. The coordinator works collaboratively with administrators, teachers, students, parents, community stakeholders, and district leadership to promote artistic excellence and student achievement across all fine arts disciplines. This position provides leadership and support for district fine arts programs, including visual arts, vocal music, theatre, media arts, and related programs. The Fine Arts Coordinator does not supervise or evaluate band directors and does not oversee the band program. However, the coordinator works collaboratively with band directors and district leadership to support district-wide fine arts initiatives, event planning, communication, scheduling, and strategic planning efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate Valid Oklahoma Administrator Certification Master's Degree from an accredited institution Minimum of five (5) years successful experience in education Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Preferred Administrative experience at the building or district level Experience leading or coordinating fine arts programs Experience managing budgets, events, and community partnerships
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Program Oversight Provide leadership for the district's K-12 fine arts programs. Develop and implement a comprehensive vision and strategic plan for fine arts education. Ensure alignment of fine arts programs with district goals, mission, vision, and strategic priorities. Promote student participation, achievement, and access to fine arts opportunities across all grade levels. Serve as a district resource for administrators, teachers, students, and families regarding fine arts programs. Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Learning Support implementation of Oklahoma Academic Standards for Fine Arts. Collaborate with principals and teachers to improve instructional practices and student outcomes. Facilitate professional development opportunities for fine arts educators. Support curriculum development, assessment practices, and instructional innovation. Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data and stakeholder feedback. Collaboration with Band Programs Work collaboratively with district band directors to support district-wide fine arts initiatives and goals. Assist with coordination of events, calendars, communications, facilities, and collaborative performances involving band programs. Promote collaboration among all fine arts disciplines to create unified student experiences. Recognize that band directors operate within their own leadership structure and are not supervised or evaluated by this position. Event Planning and Facility Coordination Coordinate district-wide fine arts performances, productions, exhibitions, showcases, competitions, and special events. Develop and maintain an annual district fine arts calendar. Coordinate facility scheduling and usage for fine arts events in collaboration with principals, band directors, athletic directors, and district departments. Assist with event logistics including transportation, equipment, staffing, technology, and facility preparation. Support campuses in planning and executing successful fine arts events. Budget, Resources, and Fundraising Assist with the development and oversight of fine arts budgets. Coordinate purchasing, inventory management, and resource allocation. Ensure equitable access to resources across fine arts programs. Provide guidance to booster organizations and support organizations regarding district policies and procedures. Coordinate district-wide fundraising efforts related to fine arts programs. Research and pursue grants, sponsorships, and external funding opportunities. Communications and Community Engagement Promote district fine arts programs through strategic communication efforts. Collaborate with the district communications department to highlight student accomplishments and program successes. Coordinate marketing, social media content, website updates, and promotional materials related to fine arts programs. Develop partnerships with community organizations, arts groups, higher education institutions, and local businesses. Serve as an advocate for the arts within the district and community. Strategic Planning and Program Development Evaluate district fine arts programs and identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Assist district leadership in long-range planning related to facilities, staffing, programming, equipment, and student opportunities. Establish goals and performance indicators for district fine arts programs. Analyze program participation, achievement, and performance data. Prepare reports and presentations for district leadership and the Board of Education as requested. Compliance and Administrative Responsibilities Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and applicable federal requirements. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to district fine arts programs. Participate in district leadership meetings, committees, and planning initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Operations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of fine arts curriculum, instruction, assessment, and program management. Knowledge of educational leadership practices and school operations. Ability to build positive relationships and collaborative partnerships. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel between district facilities. Ability to attend evening and weekend performances, competitions, and community events as needed. Ability to perform duties in classrooms, offices, auditoriums, gymnasiums, and other district facilities.
EVALUATION
Performance will be evaluated annually by the Executive Director of Operations in accordance with district policies and administrative procedures.

The Fine Arts Coordinator serves as a district leader who champions creativity, artistic excellence, collaboration, and innovation while ensuring that all students have meaningful access to high-quality fine arts experiences that enrich their educational journey.
