Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Life Enrichment Coordinator to lead engaging and meaningful programs for residents in a senior living community. In this vital role, you will design, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and needs, fostering social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help create a vibrant community atmosphere where residents feel valued, connected, and empowered to enjoy their daily lives. Responsibilities Develop and implement diverse activity programs that promote socialization, cognitive health, physical activity, and emotional well-being for residents. Coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, themed activities, and recreational therapy sessions that cater to individual preferences and abilities. Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their interests, histories, and care needs to personalize activities effectively. Collaborate with care teams to assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) when needed during events or outings. Manage scheduling of activities to ensure consistent engagement while accommodating residents' routines and medical requirements. Maintain detailed records of participation, resident feedback, and activity outcomes to support ongoing program development. Communicate regularly with families and staff about upcoming events and resident participation to foster community involvement. Experience Proven experience in event planning within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or senior care environments. Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care programs, and working with geriatric patients. Prior experience in recreational therapy or program development tailored for seniors or individuals with disabilities. Strong knowledge of long-term care practices, geriatrics, aging issues counseling, and home & community care settings. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and team members. Demonstrated leadership skills in team coordination and program management within senior living or healthcare settings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, documentation, and communication purposes.
