Leads activities involving movement, sports, games, and other activities for brain stimulation. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

$18-25/hour | Flexible Schedule |Typical Shifts:
2-5 Hours Position Summary We are seeking a reliable, patient, and compassionate individual to support a friendly 22-year-old adult with autism during community and recreational activities. This opportunity may be especially valuable for students interested in Recreational Therapy, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Nursing, Medicine, Physician Assistant studies, or related helping professions. Responsibilities- Accompany and support an adult with autism during community outings and recreational activities
- Participate in activities such as walking, visiting parks, attending community events, concerts, YMCA activities, ice skating, and other recreational activities
- Promote community participation, independence, and quality of life
- Ensure safety and provide appropriate support during activities Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Dependable, patient, and responsible
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is helpful but not required About the Individual The individual enjoys being outdoors, attending community events, listening to music, and being around people.
