Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Our work environment includes:
Modern technology Work-from-home days possible ```Duties``` As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for planning and implementing recreational activities to assist patients in their recovery and improve their quality of life in their home and community.
Your duties will include:
  • Utilizing medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
  • Designing and leading recreational activities tailored to specific populations such as pediatrics, seniors, and individuals with mental health conditions, physical rehab, cognitive decline, developmental disabilities and more
  • Collecting and analyzing data to assess the effectiveness of recreational programs
  • Providing care for patients with PTSD through specialized recreational therapy interventions
  • Incorporating yoga and other holistic approaches into therapy sessions
  • Offering mental health counseling and support to patients
  • Managing cases and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Handling crisis situations effectively ```Experience``` To excel in this role, you should possess the following experience:
  • Strong background in medical documentation and record-keeping
  • Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, seniors, and individuals with mental health challenges
  • Proficiency in providing PTSD care through therapeutic recreation interventions
  • Knowledge of crisis management techniques
  • Familiarity with case management principles
  • Ability to incorporate yoga or other mindfulness practices into therapy sessions This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on patients' lives through innovative recreational therapy interventions.
