Full Job Description Aldersbridge Communities:
Arbor Hill Assisted Living Activity Director - Full-Time Are you a creative and compassionate professional with a passion for enriching the lives of older adults? We're seeking a full-time Activity Director to lead and inspire a vibrant activity program at Arbor Hill Assisted Living located in Providence, RI. In this dynamic role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day by developing and overseeing programs that enhance the physical, mental and social well-being of residents. What You'll Do:
Plan and execute a wide range of engaging, inclusive activities Interview residents and families to create personalized activity plans Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress notes Coordinate with other departments and provide transportation for outings Supervise activity staff and volunteers, and assist residents with crafts, projects, and appointments Promote family involvement and foster a warm, supportive environment
What You Bring:
Experience in long-term care, home & community care, or similar settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Background in event planning or recreational therapy Familiarity with dementia and Alzheimer's care best practices Understanding of social work principles and person-centered care Creativity, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
Requirements:
Previous experience in an assisted living or nursing home setting preferred Must be able to drive a 15 passenger van to take residents out on outings Valid driver's license Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, per Rhode Island Department of Health guidelines What we offer: Competitive salary Generous benefits package including: Health, dental, and vision insurance 403(b) retirement plan Paid time off
