Job Description

Seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Director to lead our recreational programs and activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a diverse range of activities that cater to the interests and abilities of our residents, ensuring a fulfilling and enjoyable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development:
Design and implement a varied calendar of activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Assessment and Planning:
Assess residents' interests, needs, and abilities to tailor activities accordingly.
Staff Collaboration:
Work closely with caregiving staff to ensure activities are integrated into residents' care plans.
Community Engagement:
Foster relationships with local organizations, volunteers, and community resources to enhance program offerings.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of participation, feedback, and program outcomes; prepare reports for management as needed.
Training and Supervision:
Train and supervise activity aides and volunteers, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Event Planning:
Organize special events, outings, and celebrations that promote resident engagement and community involvement.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and the facility's policies.
Qualifications:
Experience in activity programming within an assisted living or senior care setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, & regulations Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with residents, families, and staff. Creativity and enthusiasm for planning engaging and meaningful activities. Knowledge of the needs and interests of older adults, including those with varying levels of cognitive and physical ability.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Ability to
