Position Summary The Activities Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing a comprehensive activity program that promotes the physical, mental, and emotional well‑being of residents, while leading the activities team and ensuring a vibrant, engaging environment. Responsibilities Plan, develop, and oversee group and individual activity programs that support residents' social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs. Supervise, schedule, and support activities staff and volunteers to ensure consistent, high‑quality programming. Coordinate special events, holiday celebrations, and community outings for residents. Assess resident interests and abilities and adapt activities to accommodate individual needs and preferences. Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social services, and other departments to integrate activities into overall care plans. Maintain supplies, equipment, and activity areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of resident participation and activity calendars in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. Communicate regularly with residents and families regarding upcoming activities and events. Perform other duties as assigned by facility management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Activity Director Certification required. Unencumbered CNA license in the state of Tennessee preferred. Long‑term care/skilled nursing (LTC/SNF) experience preferred. Strong leadership, organization, and time‑management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in working with older adults.
