Compelling Therapy Services has an immediate need for Recreational Therapists (CTRS or TRS/TXC) to provide one on one therapy services to clients with developmental disabilities and intellectual disabilities in Austin and surrounding areas. This opportunity is part time, however it can also lead to being a full time independent contractor. You have the opportunity to manage your own schedule! Must be board certified through NCTRC or CTRAC Must have malpractice insurance or be willing to obtain insurance Must have current First Aid & CPR through American Heart Association or American Red Cross or be willing to obtain CPR certification Opportunity to manage your own schedule and work 1:1 with clients that have developmental and intellectual disabilities such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, etc. The age population that we serve ranges from adolescents to adults. Therapists may also have the option to do telehealth sessions with certain clients. Although telehealth option is available, therapist must remain locally in Austin or surrounding area. Recreational Therapist will set measurable goals for each client and monitor progress by documenting weekly via progress notes. Therapist will also submit quarterly and annual (2 page) reports for each client to document progress related to goals that are established. The Recreational Therapist will be responsible for completing initial assessments for designated clients to determine appropriate interventions and treatment needs. Therapists must be dependable with intrinsic motivation and passion for helping others. We currently employ dozens of therapists across the state of Texas. We'd be happy for you to join our team!
