Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Job Description

Moses & Staff, LLC is looking for CTRS or CTRAC therapists to provide recreational and aquatic therapy to individuals with various disabilities. We are located in Fort Worth TX and service the entire DFW area including surrounding areas (Fort Worth, Keller, Arlington, Burleson, Saginaw, Lake Worth, Denton, Dallas, Rockwall, Etc). We work directly one on one with clients to improve their quality of life through working on individualized goals in primarily a community based setting. Moses & Staff is looking for Recreational Therapists and Aquatic Therapists to work as independent contractors. Although the position says contracting the hours are consistent. The independent contractor will be given a caseload of clients and work with families to determine scheduling. This is a self directed position with guidance from Moses & Staff as appropriate. This position is best suited for someone with an upbeat personality, that communicates effectively, is aware of safety in the community, timely with paperwork submissions and communication, is organized and structured with sessions yet also able to modify plans and have back up plans/activities as needed, and consistent/reliable. The job requires progress note writing and quarterly evaluations. This is a very rewarding and fun job that allows for flexibility in scheduling. There are opportunities for raises within the first 6 months . Moving fee assistance may be included based on situation/need.
Duties:
  • Plan, organize, and direct recreational activities for individuals with diverse needs and abilities. Individuals may have down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, etc.
  • Develop and implement individual therapeutic goals for each client that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being. Help clients work to improve their independence through engaging in leisure within the community.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities such as art therapy, yoga, and other recreational activities to enhance the quality of life for participants.
  • Assess individual needs and create personalized goals to address specific goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of participant progress and treatment interventions.
Requirements:
  • Certification as a CTRS or CTRAC is
REQUIRED
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs, physical disabilities, behavioral background, or individuals in crisis situations is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities such as art therapy, water aerobics, yoga, etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with participants and families.
  • Ability to assess individual needs and develop appropriate goals.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature to provide support during challenging situations.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed as well as communicate in a timely manner to Moses & Staff, LLC.
  • Previous or current contractors are encouraged to apply and start at a higher rate.
  • PLEASE DO NOT
    apply unless you have your CTRS or CTRAC certification or are in the works of getting it. This is a state requirement that cannot be worked around. Thank you!
  • There are 15-30 hours available per week currently to choose from with more being approved each month. Moses & Staff does not provide any type of health care coverage. Moses & Staff is able to assist towards CEU's and community memberships on a case by case basis.
  • Moses & Staff LLC is also accepting independent contractor positions for massage therapy, music therapy and behavioral support positions (specific credentials are required for this please reach out for details)
