Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute diverse resident activities and events that cater to various interests and abilities Develop innovative programs that promote social engagement, cognitive health, and physical activity within the community Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their preferences, histories, and individual needs Collaborate with team members to ensure activities are inclusive, safe, and aligned with care plans Manage scheduling of events, maintain activity calendars, and ensure timely communication with residents and staff Assist in creating a welcoming environment by encouraging resident participation and fostering community spirit Maintain detailed records of activities, resident participation, and feedback to evaluate program effectiveness Experience Proven experience in event planning or recreational therapy within assisted living or long-term care settings Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory support programs, and senior care best practices Prior work experience in nursing homes or senior living facilities is highly preferred Strong knowledge of geriatrics, aging issues counseling, and working with individuals with disabilities Excellent communication skills for engaging residents, families, and team members effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, documentation, and program development purposes Demonstrated ability to build meaningful rapport with residents while managing multiple programs simultaneously Join us as an Activities Coordinator to bring joy, connection, and vitality into the lives of our residents!
