About us Waterton Healthcare and Rehabilitation is a large business in Tyler, TX. We are a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility with long term and short term residents.
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Director to join our team. As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for our residents in a Skilled Nursing Facility. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors and contribute to their overall well-being.Duties:
- Must a be Certified
- Develop and coordinate a variety of activities and programs that cater to the physical, mental, and emotional needs of our residents
- Create and maintain an activity calendar that offers a diverse range of options for residents to participate in
- Organize and lead group activities such as games, crafts, exercise classes, and social events
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure activities are tailored to meet the individual needs and interests of each resident
- Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Plan and execute special events such as holiday parties, birthdays, and outings
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in senior care and aging issues counseling
Requirements:
- Must be Activities Director Certified
- Previous experience working in Skilled Nursing Facility
- Strong knowledge of aging issues counseling and memory care techniques
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with seniors on a personal level
- Proficient in event planning and schedule management
