The Inspirits Engagement Director plans and implements the communitys engagement and events for RUIs Memory Care Signature Program (Inspirits). The Inspirits Engagement Director leads the Inspirits signature programa premier, person-centered memory care program designed to provide elegant, elevated, and dignified living experiences for residents living with dementia. This leader ensures exceptional quality of life through operational excellence, therapeutic programming, and staff development rooted in industry-leading practices. The Director embodies the TEACH values (Teachability, Empathy, Anticipation, Creativity, Humility) and drives engagement, safety, and connection for each resident and their families. Maintains compliance with Virginia DSS Assisted Living Regulations and internal policies.

Maintains a working knowledge of all RUI policies and procedures pertaining to the position, the department, and the personnel.

Champion and implement evidence-based therapeutic engagement (e.g., music, art, pet therapy, aromatherapy, Life Havens). Plans, implements, and ensures a varied and innovative Life Enrichment programs to enhance and achieve the multi-dimensionsof wellness to include the emotional, social, physical, spiritual, and intellectual well-being of the residents as outlined in theInspirits training program.

Direct day-to-day operations of the Inspirits community, ensuring alignment with organizational vision and Inspiritsstandards.

Lead, coach, and supervise Inspirits team members across clinical, life enrichment, and care services.

Coordinates the scheduling and activity assignments of designated Life Enrichment Assistants (LEA) for successful delivery ofthe Inspirits program.

Foster a culture of compassion, responsiveness, and creativity in dementia care.

Ensure every resident is safe and cared for daily.

Collaborate closely with clinical, culinary, and therapy teams to identify and respond to changes in residents cognitive orphysical conditions.

Serve as the primary point of contact for families, providing education, weekly touchpoints, monthly support groupmeetings,and connection to plans of care.

Coordinate onboarding and support resources for family engagement, such as tabletop activity bins, Life Havens, and resourcelibraries. Conduct daily huddles, monthly team development, and annual performance evaluations. Promote ongoing dementia education aligned with Inspirits and national standards (e.g., NCCAP, Teepa Snow, AlzheimersAssociation). Coordinates with Director of Marketing and Community Relations to participate in tours, meetings, events, and external business development to promote RUIs Life Enrichment values and Inspirits program as directed by the Executive Director. Take photographs during activities/events and ensure timely transfer to RUI approved social media platforms without violating HIPAA . What you will need to be successful! 3+ years of leadership experience in memory care or assisted livingCertified Dementia Practitioner (Preferred).Recreational Therapist, Music Therapist, Art Therapist Background (Preferred).Interest or experience in psychology, sociology, social work, gerontology, neurocognitive disorders.

Strong interpersonal, team leadership, and communication skillsDemonstrated knowledge of evidence-based dementia engagement practices Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing, follow instructions and direction, interact with residents of varying backgrounds. and abilities, remain cheerful and calm under stressful situations, and work as a team member.

Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Must have safe driving record. A copy of the Division of Motor Vehicle Driving Record must be given to the Executive Director upon hire.
