GED Full Job Description Activities Director Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Activities Director to join our team at Highland Springs Post Acute in Highland Springs, VA. As an Activities Director , you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of our activities program. Activities Director is responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging environment that promotes resident satisfaction, socialization, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of our activities program Facilitate group activities and encourage resident participation Chart attendance and maintain accurate records Assist with one-on-one activities, transportation to and from activities, and special events Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered treatment and care Obtain and maintain NCCAP Certification (National Certification Council for Activity Professionals) and CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) or COTA certification
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum of 1 years of experience in activities management or a related field High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or a related field preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team About the
