Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans, direct, and evaluates programs for group and individual leisure activities Plans should meet physical, social, cultural, spiritual, emotion, and recreational needs and interests from our residents Create and publish pre-planned calendar for our residents to see Assist with simple nursing tasks during activity outings, such as simple lifting, transferring, and feeding Participate in 1:1 activities with residents per their care plans Ensure all activities are logged and charted accurately for each resident Must have: Current credential of AP-BC, AAP-BC, or AC-BC with the National Association of Activity Professionals Credentialing Center OR Current credential of APC, ADC, or ACC with the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals OR Two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, one of which was full-time in a therapeutic activities program Must have positive, friendly, and outgoing personality High school diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility (preferred) Must have a food handler's permit (if you do not have one, we can sponsor you!)
