A Recreational Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving movement, sports, games, and other activities for brain stimulation. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Youth Center Staff •Applications are

Do you enjoy interacting with a wide range of individuals, and helping people grow in fun, healthy environment? Well, you are in luck! We intend to move quickly in the interviewing and hiring process, with new hires starting as soon as the first week of September 2026. Staff in these part-time, year-round positions will supervise and implement a wide range of recreational, education, and enrichment programs. Staff will help design and lead activities which improve the physical and mental well-being of participating youth through cooking, nutrition, and physical activity components. The Youth Center offers activities year-round, this is NOT a school year only position. There are breaks during Winter Break, Spring Break, and at the end of August. Candidates with course work and/or work experience in Recreation, Family Studies, Education, Psychology, Public Health, Sociology or a related field are preferred.
