PM Job Type:
Full-time, 40 hours per week Willow Grove Assisted Living is seeking a motivated, creative, and highly organized Activities Director to lead and develop our resident activities program. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires someone who can create meaningful experiences for residents while independently managing the planning, organization, communication, and documentation behind a successful activities program. The ideal candidate is comfortable taking ownership of their department, managing deadlines, and consistently bringing new ideas to the program. Key Responsibilities Develop, plan, and lead a well-rounded resident activities program Create and maintain monthly activity calendars Create monthly newsletters for residents and families Manage facility social media and maintain consistent, appropriate content Take and organize photos from activities, celebrations, and special events Plan and coordinate seasonal celebrations and larger facility events Create flyers, announcements, and other activity-related materials Develop programming based on resident interests, abilities, and participation Maintain a consistent schedule of engaging group and individual activities Encourage resident participation and build positive relationships with residents Coordinate with other department managers for facility-wide events and projects Communicate activity plans and upcoming events with staff, residents, and families Manage activity supplies, purchasing needs, and organization Maintain required activity documentation and records Keep the department organized and ensure activities are prepared in advance Evaluate participation and make adjustments to improve the activities program Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and upcoming events at the same time What We're Looking For The Activities Director should be someone who can work independently and take ownership of the department without requiring constant direction . This position requires a balance of creativity, organization, leadership, and follow-through. A strong candidate will be able to look ahead, anticipate what needs to be completed, and keep calendars, newsletters, social media, events, supplies, and daily programming organized while remaining actively involved with residents. Qualifications Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to independently manage projects and deadlines Strong attention to detail and follow-through Comfortable creating professional calendars, newsletters, flyers, and social media content Comfortable using computers and common office programs Creative and able to consistently develop new ideas Confident leading groups and facilitating activities Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with department managers Professional, dependable, and adaptable Comfortable working directly with seniors with varying interests and abilities Previous experience in senior living, activities, recreation, event planning, social media, or a related position is preferred
