Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Activities Director to lead engaging programs and foster vibrant community experiences within a senior living environment. In this vital role, you will design, coordinate, and implement a diverse range of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and needs. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being for our residents, creating a lively and supportive atmosphere that enhances their quality of life. Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive activity calendar that includes events, outings, therapeutic activities, and special celebrations aligned with residents' preferences and capabilities. Coordinate resident events and recreational programs that encourage participation, social interaction, and physical activity. Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their individual histories, preferences, and needs to personalize activities effectively. Collaborate with staff members across departments to ensure activities support residents' care plans, including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) when necessary. Manage schedule logistics for activities, ensuring timely setup, execution, and cleanup while maintaining a safe environment. Lead team members in activity planning efforts, providing guidance and supervision to ensure high-quality program delivery. Maintain detailed records of resident participation, feedback, and program outcomes to continuously improve offerings. Requirements Proven experience in event planning Strong background in recreation Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia-related issues, and aging-related challenges to tailor activities appropriately. Excellent communication skills for engaging residents effectively and coordinating with families and staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, documentation, and communication purposes. Demonstrated ability to develop innovative programs that promote socialization and mental stimulation for geriatric patients. Leadership skills to manage team members while fostering a positive team environment focused on resident-centered care. Experience working with individuals requiring assistance with ADLs or those in long-term care settings is highly preferred. Ability to handle schedule management efficiently while adapting to changing resident needs. Pay:
$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
