Job Description

Celebration Group Homes Inc. in Albertville, AL is looking for RN to join our strong team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working. This position in at a Group Home that has includes 5 houses and a day program. The RN would mostly be working inside of the main office but may occasionally need to help with skills (tube feedings, insulin injections, etc.). The RN supervises two MAS LPNs to ensure their care of the individuals is exceptional. The RN should be MAS certified but can obtain this certification after hired if needed.
  • A $1000 sign on bonus is available for employees after 6 months of employment.
$500.00 at 3 months & $500.00 at 6 months. We have a full-time position available.
Full Time:
You will work Monday-Thursday 8a-4p (32 hours per week). Pay rate for this position is $32/hr once fully trained.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates with doctors, doctor's offices, and other medical personnel regarding the medical needs of individuals that receive services from Celebration Group Homes Ensures that individuals served receive routine medical care, such as: routine appointments, blood work, etc. Ensures that medical records are accurate and kept current. Assists with MAC training for direct care personnel. Ensures that accurate records are kept for MAC trained personnel Completes nursing assessments as needed Ensures direct care personnel are trained in recognizing common side effects of the individuals served medications Assumes shared on-call duties (usually only 1 day a week) Run monthly reports. Ensures Therap and/or any MAR is correct before inserted in the house file for documentation Ensures changes to the MAR is completed as needed. Provides skilled nursing care for individuals served as needed. Examples of skilled nursing care currently includes insulin injections, catherization, G-tube feedings, maintenance and management Must attend and participate with in-service meetings/trainings as needed May provide direct care to individuals served in certain circumstances. Supervise two MAS LPNs on staff. Coordinate with guardians about medication changes, care needs, and anything else that may arise that needs a guardian notification or consent. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain empathetic to individuals' needs
  • High attention to detail.
  • Active nursing license with the state of Alabama.
  • MAS Certification or willingness to become MAS certified upon hire.
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
