Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-ER Job Type Travel Discover the rewarding travel nursing experience in Cottondale, Alabama—a destination known for its warm hospitality, scenic Southern charm, and easy access to outdoor recreation and vibrant local culture. This opportunity places you at a leading regional medical center's Emergency Department, offering a unique blend of professional growth and personal adventure while you broaden your resume and immerse yourself in state-of-the-art emergency care settings. By stepping into this Emergency Department, you'll collaborate with highly skilled physicians, nurse practitioners, and dedicated support staff in a busy, 54-bed Level III Trauma and Level II Stroke Center. The department treats over 60,000 patients a year, giving you exposure to a wide spectrum of emergency cases and critical care scenarios that will deepen your clinical expertise. Floating to other units and hospitals as needed will expand your adaptability and enhance your skills across various settings and leadership approaches.
Schedule/Hours:
36 or 48 hours per week schedules available Holidays required as scheduled Every other weekend rotation
Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum) Active Registered Nurse license for the state of Alabama or compact state (No temporary licenses) Certifications required:
AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA
PALS or Red Cross equivalent, NIH, TNCC, and SECURE (on site) Minimum 18 months experience, preferably 2 years, with at least 1 year of recent ER experience
Responsibilities:
