Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our weight loss and wellness clinic. Work schedule will be Tuesday through Thursday from 10am to 6pm and Friday 10am to 2pm. No weekends, no holidays, and no on call required! The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. This position involves working in a fast-paced clinic setting and positive team atmosphere. The Nurse will be responsible for providing direct and indirect care to patients, assessing patient needs, obtaining patient medical history, scheduling appointments, providing LED light therapy for patients, administering injections, providing education on weight loss and wellness, providing instruction to patients on medications and self-administration of medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide the highest quality care. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories. Administer medications as prescribed by physicians. Monitor vital signs as needed. Provide education to patients regarding weight loss and wellness. Provide instruction to patients on medications and self-administration of medications. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform procedures such as subcutaneous injections, intramuscular injections, ordering medications as prescribed, and communication directly and indirectly with patients and potential patients. Support patients with and promote their overall well-being. Participate in coordination of care. Qualifications Valid LPN or RN nursing license in the state of Alabama. Experience in clinic settings is a plus. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Knowledge of medical terminology, medications, weight loss, and wellness is beneficial. Experience working with diverse adult populations is advantageous. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) as required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal abilities. Commitment to continuous professional development through ongoing education in nursing practices.
