A Dialysis Registered Nurse cares for patients with kidney disease and coordinates dialysis treatment for patients. Educates patients and families about dialysis treatment and equipment, and monitors patients' medications. Works under the supervision of physicians in clinical settings, including hospitals, dialysis clinics and doctor's offices, and may visit patients that receive dialysis at home.

Job Description

Responsibilities Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation; responsible for directing, coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices; collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Qualifications Education:
Graduate of an School of Professional Nursing; must provide documented evidence to perform waived testing
Experience:
License, Certification and/or
Registration:
Current Alabama or multistate Nursing license required. Previous Dialysis experience preferred. But willing to train the right candidate.
Licenses/Certificates:
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS Certification required or obtained within 90 days of employment
