Qualifications and Experience:

Current and unrestricted RN license Minimum of 2 years' experience in Interventional Radiology nursing Demonstrated proficiency in assisting with IR procedures, including vascular access, biopsies, catheter placements, and embolizations Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (current) Strong knowledge of sterile technique, patient sedation, and post-procedure care Excellent communication and critical thinking skills Ability to perform well both independently and within a collaborative team Experience with electronic health records documentation is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Directly assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures Administer conscious sedation and monitor patient response throughout procedures Prepare and maintain sterile procedure environments Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after IR procedures Monitor and manage patient vital signs and comfort, responding promptly to changes Educate patients and families regarding procedures, aftercare, and any follow-up appointments Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in accordance with facility protocols Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
