Job Description

The Obstetric Nursing position is responsible for providing high-quality classroom and clinical instruction in obstetric nursing, with an emphasis on maternal and newborn health. The position prepares nursing students to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to women throughout the prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum periods. The faculty member will teach assigned nursing courses, supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings, provide academic advising and counseling, and ensure that course content and clinical experiences align with the objectives and standards of the Tuskegee University Department of Nursing. Responsibilities also include evaluating student performance, maintaining accurate academic and clinical records, collaborating with healthcare agencies, and participating in curriculum development and departmental activities.
