Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications via injections, IV infusions, and other routes while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Perform specialized procedures including suturing, catheterization (urinary and vascular), tube feeding management, and wound care in compliance with best practices. Manage acute pain through appropriate interventions and coordinate complex care plans involving trauma medicine, ICU protocols, or hospice & palliative medicine as needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in emergency medicine, cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology, pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, and infectious disease care to optimize patient outcomes. Provide triage services in urgent care or emergency room settings by prioritizing cases based on severity and ensuring timely interventions. Educate patients and families on health coaching topics such as medication administration, chronic disease management (including diabetes or long-term care), and discharge planning. Requirements Valid RN license in good standing with current state requirements. Proven experience working in hospital medicine, critical care units (ICU/Level I & II trauma centers), or emergency medicine environments. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and laboratory experience including specimen collection/processing. Hands-on skills in IV insertion, phlebotomy, ventilator management, sterile processing techniques, and infection control practices. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics (memory & dementia care), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations confidently while maintaining aseptic technique standards. Critical thinking skills combined with excellent communication abilities to ensure safe patient assessments and effective case management.
