Infusion RN Role:

8:00 am 5:00 pm, Monday - FridayMay require an adjustment of schedule to accommodate departmental need.



This position is based within Jefferson Regional Practice ManagementIn this unique setting, daily interactions with a diverse clientele, including hospital staff, physicians, and visitors, are expected.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of care for an assigned caseload of patients in administering drugs. This includes delegating duties appropriately and directing staff in the delivery of care, assuring responsibility for the appropriate utilization of resources, collaborating with medical staff and others in the provision of care, and demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships with others in communication and problem resolution.

Infusion RN Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.



Technical Diploma in Nursing.



Associates Degree in Nursing. Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.



Graduate from an accredited nursing program.



BLS required upon hire or prior to patient care.



ACLS required within 1 year of hire.



Basic Chemotherapy Course Certificate required within 6 months of hire.



OCN certification preferred.



Maintain 12 hours of CES each year or 36 hours in 3 years per Commission on Cancer Requirements.



Oncology infusion experience preferred. 1-2 years of RN/ LPN experience preferred.



Proficiency in electronic documentationBasic proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.



Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams Capacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals Basic competency in documenting patient information accurately.
