Mercy seeks a Specialty
RN - OBGYN
to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to women across prenatal, labor, postpartum, and gynecologic services. In this role, you'll perform assessments, administer medications, assist with procedures and fetal monitoring, educate patients and families, and coordinate interdisciplinary care. You'll collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, and support teams, ensuring safe outcomes and a positive birth experience. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive OBGYN nursing care across prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum settings Perform patient assessments and ongoing monitoring, including fetal monitoring Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and protocols Assist physicians and midwives with obstetric and gynecologic procedures Educate patients and families on prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care Document care accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate individualized care plans Respond to obstetric emergencies following established clinical protocols Maintain infection control and patient safety standards Participate in ongoing education, competency training, and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills OBGYN nursing Labor and delivery care Fetal monitoring Maternal-newborn assessment Medication administration Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Patient and family education Postpartum care Emergency response/NRPInfection control
