Job Description

WSi Healthcare Personnel is seeking Registered Nurses to bring their skills to Arizona's correctional healthcare system. In this essential role, you'll deliver direct patient care, perform assessments, manage chronic conditions, and respond to emergencies in a secure, structured setting. You'll work closely with physicians, mental health professionals, and corrections staff to provide compassionate, ethical care to a vulnerable population. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated patients including assessments, wound care, medication administration, and care planning Respond to urgent and emergent medical situations within the correctional facility Collaborate with physicians, mental health providers, and custody staff to coordinate holistic patient care Document all care accurately in electronic medical records and maintain required reports Perform intake health screenings and ongoing chronic disease management Educate patients on medications, treatments, and health maintenance in a secure setting Follow all safety, security, and infection control protocols specific to corrections healthcare Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement efforts Required Skills Patient assessment Medication administration Wound care Emergency response Correctional healthcare procedures Electronic medical records (EMR) Infection control Chronic disease management Care planning Interdisciplinary collaboration
