1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 5+ years of L&D/Postpartum experience and an active AZ or compact RN license. Details Work in a hospital setting covering Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, and BFHI rooming-in with moms Unit averages 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month 12-hour day shift schedule Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed May occasionally serve as charge nurse after completing charge nurse training Occasional floating to other qualified departments required, which may include taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones Requirements Active AZ or compact RN license required Minimum of 5 years recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting Current BLS and ACLS or ALSO certification required Current NRP certification required AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required, or RNC-EFM may be substituted Additional Information Provide direct patient care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery units Support Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) practices with rooming-in for moms and babies Work as part of a team that may require additional charge nurse responsibilities on occasion
