The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate compassion to people of all backgrounds. The RN will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. We are looking to cover 2 areas in particular in the southeast valley, particularly west to central Mesa, Chandler, Tempe and Ahwatukee; the other area would be more East Mesa, Gilbert, AJ and potentially Gold Canyon.

Duties include:

Develops a written plan of care for each assigned patient, assessing the physical, psycho-social needs of the patient and documents findings. Assesses patient's condition, initiates plan of care, re-evaluates and updates as necessary. Evaluates the significance of assessment findings and communicates any pertinent information about the patient's clinical status and ongoing needs to others in a timely fashion. Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management. Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and patient's clinical position. Follows the five (5) medication rights and reduces the potential for medication errors. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. Functions as a team member demonstrating collaboration with, and responsibility to patient, physician, interdisciplinary team. Adheres to all Agency, payroll, billing and documentation policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and move patients with proper body mechanics
• Proficient in using medical equipment and technology
