We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient to join our team at Yuma Medical Center. In this role, you'll provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care while collaborating with physicians, nurses, patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team. You'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients, support their recovery and well-being, and contribute to a culture focused on quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do Provide comprehensive, compassionate nursing care to patients throughout their hospital stay. Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs and identify priorities for care. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care based on patient needs and evidence-based nursing practices. Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards. Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and respond appropriately to evolving needs. Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, recovery, and self-management. Coordinate transitions of care and communicate effectively during handoffs to promote continuity and patient safety. Advocate for patients and families while maintaining professional and therapeutic relationships. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes. Delegate appropriate patient care activities based on staff competency, experience, patient acuity, and available resources. Serve as a resource, mentor, preceptor, and leader to support the development of fellow team members. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, committees, projects, and evidence-based practice activities. Promote a safe, clean, respectful, and supportive environment for patients, families, visitors, and coworkers. Follow professional nursing standards, ethical guidelines, organizational policies, and applicable state and federal regulations. Required:
