Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in Labor & Delivery. The position involves caring for mothers and babies in a low-level trauma, acute-care hospital environment. The ideal candidate should have Labor & Delivery experience, fetal monitoring skills, and the ability to recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart-rate patterns. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients. Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery. Perform and interpret fetal monitoring. Recognize and respond appropriately to abnormal fetal heart-rate patterns. Use external fetal monitoring equipment. Assist with Labor & Delivery procedures. Provide care for high-risk patients. Float to the Mother/Baby unit when required. Collaborate with Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy. Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow hospital policies. Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience required. 2 years of experience preferred. Charge experience preferred. Labor & Delivery experience. Ability to work with high-risk patients. Experience with fetal monitoring. Experience recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart-rate patterns. Travel experience is not required. California RN license required. Two supervisor references obtained within the last 18 months are required for submission. Required Certifications
