Perform comprehensive post-operative assessments, including airway management, neurological status, pain control, and hemodynamic monitoring. Monitor patients for potential post-anesthesia complications and intervene appropriately. Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, surgical technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care. Educate patients and families regarding recovery expectations, medications, discharge instructions, and post-operative care. Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the electronic medical record. Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care standards. Provide exceptional patient-centered care while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced surgical environment. Minimum Qualifications Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License (must be active at the time of submission) Minimum 2 years of recent PACU Registered Nurse experience Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Current ACLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Recent experience caring for Total Joint surgical patients (Required - Hard Stop) First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply, although previous travel experience is preferred.
