Former staff must be gone 24 months to return as travelers

Skills Required:

Wound Care Treatments:

VAC therapy, alginates, hydrocolloids, hydrogels, enzymatic & autolytic debriding agents, silver products

Ulcer & Risk Assessments:

Braden scale, pressure ulcers (staging I-IV), venous status ulcers, tunneling, undermining

Ostomy Care:

Colostomy, ileostomy, pouch management, irrigation, mucous fistula, stoma management

Continence Care:

Catheter management, incontinence programs, skin care management

Patient/Family Education Work Setting:

Geriatrics Equipment:

WoundVision Wound VAC Duties Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds and overall health status. Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and evidence-based practices. Administer wound treatments, including dressings, debridement, and advanced therapies. Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide guidance on infection control measures related to wound management. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Requirements Current nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of practice. Experience in wound care management preferred; certification in wound care is a plus. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to wound healing. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate medical documentation. Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, medication administration, and patient assessment. Critical care experience is advantageous; familiarity with acute pain management is a plus. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including those with developmental disabilities or chronic conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Excellent communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare teams. Experience in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, or home care is preferred.
