Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, ostomy care, and tube feeding while maintaining aseptic techniques. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients across various settings including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. Conduct triage assessments to prioritize patient needs in urgent or emergency situations within emergency rooms or urgent care centers. Support diagnostic evaluations by collecting specimens for laboratory processing and assisting with imaging procedures like sonography or mammography when applicable. Manage acute pain and chronic conditions through appropriate interventions and patient education on pain management strategies. Participate in discharge planning and case management to ensure seamless transitions of care for patients with complex needs such as trauma medicine or infectious disease cases. coding is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Proven ability to perform advanced clinical procedures including IV insertion, phlebotomy, ventilator management, and sterile processing techniques. Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; familiarity with trauma medicine and neonatal resuscitation procedures enhances your candidacy. Experience working with diverse patient populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics—including dementia or Alzheimer's care—and individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs. Skilled in infection control practices and maintaining aseptic technique during invasive procedures like catheterization or suturing. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms or hospital medicine units requiring quick decision-making and acute response skills. Excellent communication skills for patient education on health coaching topics like nutrition or medication adherence; adept at medical documentation for accurate records management.
